Tablerock Ranch eastern Wa | No---- I had an arrangement with a family member where he got to stock some cows on my ground @ 50% calf split, and we split expenses, he got all salvage from his cows and it was a big looser for us ! unless you are willing to nickel and dime every extra expense you will not make money, just one example we haul one cull cow to market for him 1.5 hours from ranch we had a almost six man hours 160 miles on truck and trailer and fuel and you either charge him true value which will make his eyes roll back in his head or you loose money,---- now multiply that times fifty unplanned events a year and forget it. 75% 25% and 75% is you or better yet just tell him NO !!!!!! 50% looks ok at face value but is a huge looser----been there done that ! |
