| Funny story about elevator charging drying on corn, last summer started hauling corn to a new not completed yet 110 car unit train loading facility, they had the dryer installed but did not even have a propane tank on site yet, anyways I hauled in a lot of 14.6-15.2 corn got my settlement check and there is a drying charge called up grain buyer and asked what's the deal with the drying charge and she proceeded to tell me the don't have a dryer yet and I said exactly why are you charging for it, she kindly refunded the money on my next check, I now have a standing agreement as long as all bushels hauled in on X contract average under 14.5 there is no drying charge still take shrink which is another scam in itself but gotta pick your battles and at least they average everything with the exception of taking off shrink. | |
