DON'T DO PROBATE!!!!! save the lawyer fees ! (2) go thru the house/buildings & photograph everything-not necessarily each item, one -by-one, but enough to include everything in photos. (3) at time of passing, try to have some friend or someone on hand while family is at funeral home/funeral.... a favorite time for thieves to hit
why not probaup. te? Do probate. Give a chance for people that is owed to settle up. Are you a member of the bar?

Let me repeat: DON"T DO PROBATE!!!

If there are debts the estate owes, it certainly DOES NOT take probate to settle those debts.

Have your parents set up a trust. You don't need a probate judge deciding how the estate is to be settled. Myself as well as my wife have a trust. We have directions on how our estate is to be settled. Some are explicit directions, some pretty general. But they are our decisions. I don't need or want any of it to get to probate, that can be a Pandora's box of problems.
