northeastern Ohio | I have a lot of different colored tractors (Massey, JD, CIH, NH, Versatile). Closest dealer is CIH at 3 miles. Massey/Versatile dealer is 5 miles. JD dealer is 15 miles. NH dealer is 15 miles.
15 miles is not that far. Every tractor has it's good and bad points (no perfect tractor). I order a lot of parts online and have them shipped for cheaper than any of the local dealers. The question is: do you need (want) service? If so, then go with the dealer that provides what you need. Do you need a mechanic that shows up the same day you call or one that promises you he'll be here in three weeks and never shows up (this happened to me this past year) or do you do all your own mechanical work?
