Have you ever wondered why farming has been subsidized by the U.S. government in some form or another since the 1930s? Look that history up. I don't think that you'll find anywhere that it talks about a cheap food policy. It talks about an abundant food supply. For the "cheap food policy" beliefs, you'll have to read between the lines. :)
