For the original poster, depending on where you are, your land history and your neighbor's land history, you might have no real advantage with SmartStax over Double Pro (you weren't specific on what you are calling triple or double).
There are a LOT of farmers who find little advantage to the below ground traits versus a good double pro type product and you may be among them. But there are as many who know they have a problem and won't take the risk.
Talk to your local extension people if you don't trust your seed guy. If you are getting mixed results, it may be a hybrid issue more than a trait issue, or it may not. Hopefully, you have an agronomist you can trust to help you on your farm. | |
