South Central Iowa
That's the part you pick out? Why on Earth would you care that I said Georgia is "not the most agricultural of states"? Nothing to add on Sonny Perdue? Just want to say someone is wrong?
Top ten states agricultural producing states in terms of cash receipts:
Georgia has 9.3 million acres of farmland representing 24.5% of land use in the state. (source 2) Farm receipts for Georgia in 2015 for all commodities were $9.1 billion, comprising 1.8% of gross state product. (source 3) Iowa for comparison has 30.5 million acres of farmland representing 85% of land use in the state. (source 4) Farm receipts for Iowa in 2015 for all commodities were $26.8 billion, comprising 15.6% of gross state product. (source 5)
Georgia has a large diversified economy that is not very focused on agriculture. Land is still used down there and various crops are produced and raised, but it is a big stretch to say the state is very ag centered. And really, most development people and economists would generally say that is a good thing. It's not really an insult to say that a state is not very agricultural. I bet they consume a lot of country music though!
