EC North Dakota | Wow. Our class learned to read and write cursive in 3rd grade in about 3 weeks.
What do you mean it's a waste of time. Kids have the time and energy to do double what they do. We had a teacher tell us at a board meeting that his greatest difficulty was holding the smart kids down to the level of the slowest kids. Ridiculous.
3 of my kids work on my farm. Everyday I work with them I'm shocked at what they weren't taught in school. And they were all honor students and two graduated Suma from college.
Two of our grandfathers only had an 8th grade education. I bet most college grads can't pass one of their 8th grade exams.
I was complaining about our school to my dad one day. He said they are your kids, if you want them to succeed, you better teach them yourself.
