SESD | Yup, it is crazy. Some ... not all, are book smart but wheres the common sense at all anymore. I blame it on the technology, I know a friend's kid is in school and doesn't own a notebook. All done on an I pad or lap top. To me it is crazy! I however can print way quicker than write cursive, always hated writing that way but to me you should know it to sign your name. All my checks are written out, but still sign my name in cursive. And the math...think most can do it quicker in your head than some can on calculator. It is sad. Don't understand the thinking behind some of the teaching techniques anymore either, I guess like everything else it's always changing.
