Same problem here in MN. Went to kids conferences about a year ago. First I had a  go around with the math teacher. New way to teach math is send home work home to do. No class room, just do home work. Told her kids are mad because they do not understand. Wife took online math class to help kid do home work. Teacher says that is the way to teach. Do home work first, watch you tube videos on class, then teach what is not understood. Boy was I PO'd!!      Next to English teacher. Why not teach cursive hand writing?  Well, everything is done on computer.  No writing is needed, Just a waste of time. So, then why is not typing and keyboarding taught?? We are so close to voice command and typing will not be needed. I was really mad at this point.  So now wife will not let me go to conferences!   Next is school board. I wonder if anybody know what is not being taught??
