We don't get too much in the way of hail and what we do get occasionally is very small and does not last. We do get lots of wind though and with multiple buildings at different locations every wind storm seemed to strip some shingle somewhere. Just got sick of having to redo roofs all the time. These panels are crimped at bottom and edges of roof and there will be no wind getting underneath it. All roofs are solid sheeted and covered with special underlayment so I don't think it would be as prone to denting as it would be if just fastened to nailers with no solid substrate underneath. Insurance company balked twice on paying for storm damage to shingled roof. They tried to prorate it down by age of roof. Both times the insurance commissioner for the State of Ohio was called and he jacked them up really good and got results ASAP. Needless to say I don't deal with that insurance company anymore either. |
