NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | Why can't you do it yourself, did they change the rules somewhere along the line? I'm not sure what year it was without looking it up, maybe 6-7 years ago, but I had my two sons help me put Decra shingles on my attached garage. It wasn't that hard of job, definitely more time consuming then doing asphalt shingles and more expensive.
I've got a BIL and his two sons that own a roofing company and they will literally do 300-500 residential and business roofs a summer depending on hail storms in the area. I was visiting with my BIL this past September about doing Decra roofing on our church and he really tried to discourage us from going that route. He says there has been many issues with it since it came out including denting, insurance problems, long lasting wear and etc.. He kind of burst my bubble on the product. | |
