What puzzles me is why doesn't a TV come with good sound built in. It shouldn't be that hard to do.
The new LED tv with only a 1/2-1 inch plastic rim around the screen, has no good place to mount a large forward facing speaker or two. The best you have room for is a couple of tiny speakers on the back side facing the wall,= terrible sound.
If it is a modern "picture hanging on the wall" TV, you can bet it needs a sound bar.
The Visio sound bar I have , a mid price range($100) unit with wireless subwoofer produces great sound and is easy to set up. |
