We have a sound bar plugged into a  Visio TV.  Works fine.  Only thing I do not like, is having to use more than one controller.  One for the tv, one for the sound bar, and another one for the cable or dish.  Did that for a long time. Never know which controller to use. Many times thought of seeing them fly through the picture window.   Now, we have a new controller, and it works the sound bar and the tv.
