Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | The Skywalk is on the south rim. Never been there, but I take offense at the Park Service charging tax payers to view the Grand Canyon, so no way am I going to pay $80 to the tribe that owns the skywalk to walk out there. Then they want to sell you a picture for $50 of your two minutes of being an extra 50' out from the rim of a canyon that is 10 miles wide... I've never been there but as you can tell I think it is a tourist trap. Friend of mine went and he was not impressed at all. The NP sections of the canyon are more scenic.
The north rim is closed in the winter, it is 7-8000' in elevation and gets much more snow. | |
