Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | There is no way I'd do that on a bus. You have to remember the scale of things out here... the dots on the map are very far apart. Rent a car, make sure you can keep in an extra day if need be, and drive yourself.
The biggest question is when. The country around the Grand Canyon, at least the last 100 miles or so, is high desert. It can snow in the winter, and will be cold. One of the worst snow storms I was ever in was in Williams, AZ. Had it been in CA or OR they'd have closed the freeway. Nothing to be scared of, its desert so there are lots of good days in between snow storms, just watch the weather.
I also wouldn't go that far and not go to Zion as well. Its about a three day trip at least to see the GC, drive through Page and over to Zion. Or make another trip out of Vegas. Zion in my opinion is more interesting than the Grand Canyon. | |
