South Dakota | One more thought you got me on, with a 3-5 year life span on hybrids, these agronomists probably don't have all the answers for terrible ground. Like i said, i 100% agree there's a true workhorse hybrid, we just need to weed the sales pitch from the science. Just food for thought, In 2012 I was taking a grad school class. we were supposed to download 400 lines of test plot data from any seed company and determine the best hybrid. We only got about 10 inches of total precipitation that year, so I wanted to see what was the best drought hybrid. I selected only for non irrigated ground. It wasn't the hybrids with the best drought rating or droughtguard trait that did the best, it was a pioneer number with the least traits, I think it was a straight roundup number if I remember right. | |
