Thanks for all the comments.

After talking to our Cargill marketer, I have found that they have actually used the "dollar shrink" method for several years at the river terminals in Cincy and the corn sweetener plant in Dayton. Haven't delivered the Dayton in a while. Usually only deliver dry beans to Cincy, so I guess that explains why I didn't notice it until now...we just delivered several loads of beans, and the first few were about 14.5 to 15%.

Cargill Bloomingburg (at the E-plant) is still shrinking bushels to get standard dry bushels. That is where most of our corn goes, so no problem there. I suspect they are using dry bushels (15%) because the e-plant uses 16% corn, and they can make money on the difference. I get it.
