Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

Dad had a field where he used to grow cotton. There was a spot out in the middle of the field, maybe an acre in size, where a barn once stood. The barn was torn down and the field was put in cultivation in the mid-50s. The cotton in that spot, even in the 80s, would get as tall as the muffler on a JD 4010. That field is now in Bermuda grass hay and that is still the greenest spot in the field.
