Depends on soil type, snow cover, and obviously, temperatures. Ontario is probably warmer than you, and likely gets more snow cover. Here, it's rare to get frost down more than a foot or two. Most years you're lucky if it gets below 6 in. Mainly because of our temps, not so much from snow cover.
