Hennepin, IL | Typically what I'll tell guys is to run in standard and watch the downforce map on fieldview (not applied downforce). I'll want to see more red than blue on the map. If you can pull up the downforce summary, we don't want more than 2% loss of gc. At that point either switch to heavy or custom and tweak it until you fall into the "more red than blue" category.
The reason you may need to change the downforce target is because of the fact that target is constantly moving. The more inconsistent the seedbed is, the more deltaforce has to adjust, which means the more chance of loss of gc, therefore you need to raise the target. The more consistent the seedbed, the less deltaforce has to adjust, which means the less chance of loss of gc, therefore you can run at a lower target.
