SC WI | When my wife and I got married two years ago it was very hard to convince my mother in law that it was her daughters wedding not her own second wedding. I think often mothers and fathers think they can make decisions for their children that they feel they made wrong themselves. (As I am a new father this week I am certain over time my perspective on this will change)
As for the happily engaged couple, this life changing event it theirs to control. It is very easy to feel youre too busy to take the time for making decisions and give into family pressures. Your daughter and future SIL sound very busy but they need to take the time to do it right or they will forever regret it.
