Why would you want a front mount? Just wondering, not arguing. Unless you're only going 4 rows wide, you probably want folding options? The only one I remember that folded was a late model IH front mount that folded forwards. Then you pushed it down the road. But, mounting a frt mount cultivator is quite a chore. Then, you don't move the cultivator once you unhook from it. It stays there! Then, you have to figure out what to do with your wheel tracks. That takes a rear mounted bar anyway.

Life was better when we went from front to rear cultivators. The only thing really good about front mounts was that if you were good, you could take out a volunteer corn plant that was close to the row. Of course, if you weren't as good as you thought you were, that became an expensive corn plant...and it was probably still standing anyway, just some beans missing now.



The Deere 8RW/12RN 725s that we run fold forward for transport. The smaller 4RW/6RN 725 frame is a rigid frame.
