I've come down ~10k in rye in the last 4 years but haven't went any lower. Usually don't run over 5mph even though some of it is 20+ year no till and my most mellow soil. It does feel like you're getting more done with all that rye passing under you instead of bare dirt. Keeps the eyes busy or something. Have been running ~130k and much faster on tilled bottom ground as a comparison.

I should probably do more stand counts to convince myself I could cut some more seed costs.
