I hope they would have checked it already, but before or after it.
Once it is running again, just unhook the brown wire in the collector ring going out to the spans and try to run the machine. It should not run. I would also test the safety circuit on every box with to make sure it shuts down. It will only take 10 minutes with 2 people and a couple cell phones.
