| If any planter mfg wants to create a must have upgrade machine all they need to do is design a heavy duty row unit that has discs that can handle no-till with single disk fertilizer openers a few inches over.
I don't know if that's a problem with Case planters but on John Deere planters, if you have single disk fertilizer openers on the planter the disk on the other side of the row unit from the single disk fertilizer opener will fail every time. The loosened soil from the SD fertilizer opener causes the blades to flex towards the SD fertilizer trench. That makes life easier on the nearby disc and harder on the far one.
I honestly have a hard time believing mfg's are focusing on high speed planting when they still don't have the basics figured out. | |
