The cracking/failure of the bearing flange on the disk openers has been somewhat of a problem in certain conditions. CNH came out with new opener blade part#s about a month ago that are supposed to be improved in the bearing flange area. Part #47828496 is the new leading disc, part#47828497 is the trailing disc. These are both 3.5mm thick, which is what the factory installs on them. Hope this helps.
