If you talk to the "smart guys".... the "model" of efficiency is 50 acres per row per year. I use to laugh.... I know a couple of brothers that Farm "with money" vs "farming for money" and they planted everything from string beans to all of there field corn with a 6 row planter totalling 12-1300 acres. Never ever understood why... they finally purchased a larger planter.

That's 2.4 days of planting with a 12R38" planter. I think we run a few more days a year than that.
