Subject: RE: 4 and 6 row planters, how many acres?

East central Iowa
I plant about 160 acres with 4RW and the best day I had a few years back was 45 ac. of beans. My "patch" size averages 5.5 acres so all I do is turn for point rows. With corn I fill with fert. every 5 or 6 acres so that takes time too. Then with being spread out over 5 miles in two directions with 5 farms that slows things down when doing all by my self. Chores morning and night 30 ac. isn't a bad day. and Yes 8 or 12 would be nice but that takes money too.
