Southeastern Tipton County, Indiana

Jmo1999 - 5/1/2016 09:37 So they should stock a truck with all the parts to fix all the tractors and combines? They don't carry all that many parts in the parts department, and I don't know how big the truck would have to be to carry a whole parts department! And then they should be a swaptronics technician? that's what farmers are!

A complete rolling parts and service department is not what I implied at all... I was addressing the original post with what I feel, due to my experiences as a dealership tech, would solve a huge number of repeat trips since as I stated, sensors solenoids and switches are usually the culprit of faults that disable or derate a piece of equipment. The tech would need to know diagnosis and repair procedures not just diagnosis.
