Subject: RE: JD 7000 Conservation

Western NY
Thought the openers would fit 7000 conservation frame better. The 4 wheel lift won't break contact with the ground as easy as a standard lift pipe. My grandfather had a 7000 Conservation that sold in his estate sale in 2009. It had all the add ons should have bid on it but I was holding out for the combine a 6600 sidehill . Didn't get the combine that day but I bought it back from the guy in 2014 for $5000 less than he paid for it. Although my standard 7000 is getting the job done, just thought the conservation would be an upgrade, especially if I can use those HD openers. Pequea Planter says they can convert the 7x7 mount to a 3x3 mount with some plasma cutting and welding. Don't want to alter them if it isn't necissary.
