Isn't a wide spread blizzard a year or so ago that killed most of the cows and calves in a couple states the only reason calf prices are where they at now?

Not really.
That snowstorm was more like the corn guys claiming a hail event will make the market sky rocket. It sucks for those involved and was a bad deal, but is very minimal on a market wide scale. |
