from about last summer on I just add $20k to every truck purchase in my head because the last 3 I bought needed overhauled because the previous owners were dishonest. I am terrified of buying again on an auction for myself, cant imagine how I would feel bringing home some of the junk I have in the past for someone else. good luck.
