Wisconsin | IMHO a diesel pickup is at best a novelty item made for people that have to feel special driving a diesel.
You don't think diesel pickups have their place? Personally I love how my diesel can handle whatever I throw at it all while getting excellent fuel economy, and having great resale value. IMO it does everything well. A friend of mine has basically the same truck as I do except his is a gas. He recently had his appraised and was disgusted how little his gasser is worth even only being 2 years old.
The smell is a personal preference. I absolutely despise the smell of gas.
