Beaver Dam, WI
I know I gotta wait sometimes on lower ground in the spring to get going wet and cold soil but I think you got a very good setup to keep moisture and with standing stubble should not be a problem planting through.i know some guys that have gone away from chopping corn heads as it creates a mat that struggles to dry out. It will be dry onto but wet slimy underneath and is hard to move with row cleaners and or cutting with Coulters.
