Life's but a walking shadow | So why wouldn't Cruz and a republican controlled Congress simply use the Commerce Clause to prevent the individual states from enacting their own local law. Just because they would deny the justification of the enviromental regulation with the Commerce Clause doesn't mean that they wouldn't use it to curtail state level enviromental regulation.
