This has been a popular topic already, but I'll put my sentiments on paper.

Could you talk to him and say, "I really think it's worth $145 and that you can make money at that." Then tell him that you were thinking about bidding but since he told you that he was going to bid $95 that you'll pass on it. Maybe he'll tell you that he can't make money at $145 and that you can just have the bid. If he thinks he can cash flow it let him bid.

It's not too late to tell him that the ground should be worth $145. If it brings $200 then you'll both laugh at how far off each of you were.

I agree with someone above that from now on the two of you need to keep your bids to yourselves.
