I have Resound Linx  They cost more than most of the pickup trucks I've owned over the years (admitted I usually buy cheap old trucks).  I can adjust volume and tone response with my iPhone. They will work with my cell phone hands free and can stream audio ... including from my television set.

There can be problems.   The biggest difficulty is when there is a lot of background noise, like in a restaurant. I sometimes turn them down instead of up to cut down on noise.  Inevitably there will be one guy halfway across the room you can hear better than the person across the table.

I hate them, but wouldn't be without them.

Edit: BTW My hearing aid dealer just switched to Miracle Ear.  He said the products were very similar to what they sold now (thought he was talking seed corn for  minute ;) ) but with Miracle Ear his customer could walk into a store in Florida and be taken care of, something he could not promise as an independent. That may be a factor for you to consider.
