There are a few 8R tractors with 15,000+ hours that have been pretty reliable.

Problem is that most tractors need to be 15+ years old before most people have enough hours to see if a tractor is reliable. Some 8R's have been put through the hours already and have stood up ok. Probably not quite as well as the early 8000s, but still better than expected
