| For tracking basis and cash bids I use Grower's Edge website as my homepage for my internet browser. They are doing some upgrades and updates at the moment, but when I open up my browser the first thing I see are the cash bids that I want to track along with the current basis. When you see them every day its easy to notice things happening.
Other than that I am also on the email lists for some locations that send me the bids every afternoon. I also have many locations own webpages with their daily updated cash bids listed bookmarked for easy access.
You don't need to spend time and effort with phone calls, i suspect most buyers have email lists with bids or webpages that you can access to make it easier. Even doing it in the evening when the offices are empty is a bonus.
