Weight. That's where those bidi tractors shine, they are light, I can go where you would think I couldn't and your payloader will probably get there too with a lot of deep tracks. I run a Volvo L90 loader at my day job and I love it but I would hate to see my yards after wading through in muddy conditions. No, bidirectionals are not payloaders and that is why most of them are destroyed, you have to use your head a little, but they are very handy.
