We have a Bush Hog that has the wdge bolt like in Mike's diagram. The "non-head" end of the bolt sticks out of the hub by about 1/2-3/4". When removing I back the nut almost off then hit it with a hammer to knock it loose. Usually will have to take a brass punch & drive it the rest of the way out. When you get the bolt out you will see one side is tapered so be sure to put it back the same way it came out. Don't know how many times I've had to take it out to replace the slip clutch discs but more than I care to. So far have never had to replace the bolt though dealer say we should every time we change discs. I was going to replace it the last time but dealer didn't have any any stock.
