Ramsey's plan works because it addresses the emotion we seem to attach to our money. And that emotional response runs deep.
If it was all as simple as just numbers, nobody would have any problem with finance. Paying off a loan, note, or mortgage appeals to the sense of emotion to a positive side, and that in turn stimulates better fiscal behavior.
