Scranton | Mainly, that's why I grow corn. But I don't think those paying $250 on up are growing a lot of beans...if they are they aren't yielding 42. Lots of 50 ish beans or better....50 times even $9 is $450/ac...less $250 for rent, 50 seed, $70 fert, $25 chem, $25 insurance, $25 equip....and we are at breakeven...
I don't think anyone is saying they are making money at $8.50 beans, but its not a lost cause with yield/market possibilities. | |
