| I'm going to agree with you. We do a ton of high moisture. We have run parts of a field at 32 and came back at 16 saw 200+ at 32 and dropped to 182 later. All scaled. Head shatter is bad down there. Those saying it can't be done has not tried the wetter corn. Takes some more power and different settings but at 30-32 there is absolutely no harvest loss and no volunteer corn the next year. At 16 all you hear in the cab is kernels hitting the windshield. The secret to high moisture is slow cylinder speed open sieves and chaffers lots of air and an ih flagship combine. We can combine 32 and have a hard time seeing a damaged kernel. | |
