I always thought the only way you lose bushels on letting it dry in the field is from dropped ears or down corn.

If there is 225 bu to the acre at 25% moisture, there will be 225 bu at 15% moisture unless ears fell on the ground.

Natural drying in the field does not allow corn to disappear anymore than gas drying it does. Maybe less loss on natural drying. It will gain test weight with natural drying.

So you are saying your losing 25 u an acre to field loses. You should be able to see the ears on the ground.

Least it works that way on my fields.

Better check it a couple times. Yield will be lost but varies with areas and hybrids. Some say as much as 20 bu
