Well see that's the thing, it's not my field corn. Just basically nothing separating fields out here, and the neighbours are cash croppers. I know that sweet corn in general tassles way quicker than grain corn just we won't have a whole lot of wiggle room when it comes to choosing a variety - the processor will be providing the seed - and I don't want to have to be in a situation where I have to try and convince neighbours to change *their* planting plans.

From what everyone seems to be saying chances of me running into a problem with this is pretty small, unless I end up with an unusually late maturing sweet corn or fields around me get planted with an unusually early maturing field corn. I'll have to go talk to neighbours and see when their corn matures, anything within 14 days of the sweet corn and we'll have to rethink our plans.
