New Liskeard, Ontario | Might be trying my hand at some sweet corn next season. Problem is I'm entirely surrounded by guys doing corn/soy, I've been reading up on separation distances between grain corn and sweet corn and I've read anything from 100' to 700' in separation. I've also seen some smaller market gardens that put up actual windbreak fencing around their sweet corn both to protect it as a seedling and prevent pollination when its older.
Anyone here have any experience with sweet corn around grain corn fields? How do you separate your sweet corn from neighbouring fields? | |
