Shelby, MT | I thought I had been no-till for alot of years,, since 2000 on this ground and since around 96 or 98 for the rest, but I read in the Prairie Star the other day that I have been a fraud and a wheat/chem fallow rotation is in fact not no-till, So I have been living a lie for all these years, Except for 150 acres of CRP and another 80 piece I don't think I have chisel plowed any of my ground for a good 10 plus years. Just chem fallow and direct seeding... but it is all a big lie. I guess... Our immediate area that I farm in is a weedageddon this year..
good thing I didn't donate or something.... it would have been all a waste..
maybe next year I will successfully pour enough chemicals on the ground that nothing will ever grow again... then it will be a success.. and thus no plowing will be involved.. | |
