The chicken industry lost around 30 million hens this spring to some flu virus. It is no wonder the eggs are high. Kinda like 2012 and corn went to 8.50 a BU.
We have 30 hens and sell eggs. So we always have fresh eggs. They are not cheaper than the store but they sure are fresher and tastier. The dark yellow yolks are the best.

Feed a ration with high milo content and you'll get dark yokes. Daughter works for an egg breaking plant. They do a special run of dark yokes for Ken's Dressings.
